Pure tone audiometry air conduction and bone conduction are basic and common practices for hearing assessment. Different methods are encountered during doing PTA. Here we apply general guidelines for the audiologist that they should follow in order to reach the ideal results.

The scope of the guideline is to establish unified clinical practice guidelines for PTA measurement and interpretation of the results for appropriate referral of adults and older children in Egypt.
